Flow of life
When you feel comfortable with your clients, when you have seen them through several life events and connected with them in their most intimate moments, you realise what a privilege it is. Being trusted to witness and capture these moments in a way that honors their life and their love makes you grateful to live in this moment in history. We get to create a kind of magic and make people immortal in ways that were not possible until recently.
Being a photographer in a world overflowing with images feels to me like a return to myself, to my own interiority, to what makes my world meaningful. It reminds me not to abandon what is here for me to explore.
Seeing these photos here makes me realise how much I missed looking at full-frame images that are not resized or constrained or reduced to low-resolution memories. Having Ariadna and her family in my life, even if I do not always verbalise it to my clients, fills me with awe for being granted this kind of care and closeness. I look forward to many more days that are simply ordinary days filled with small passing moments. I find that life outside the big events is just as rich in flavour, vulnerable, and powerful at the same time.
